Charles Darwin and his family were enchanted by the small carnivorous plant “Drosera”, also known as sundew, and were fascinated by the way Drosera captures prey. The mechanism of capturing prey involves many processes that we commonly think are unique only to animals – like the use of electrical signals, hormones or the production of
